SEND at St Anne’s

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability)

The Academy’s Achievement for All Department is a well-equipped and experienced resource. We have a good reputation for providing support, ensuring progress and achievement for all students. We are a fully inclusive school and as such much of the teaching and learning takes place within the mainstream curriculum. Leaders are effective at identifying the needs of pupils with SEND. Pupils, parents, and carers value the support that leaders and teachers provide for pupils with SEND. Leaders make sure that they offer clubs and activities that inspire and interest pupils” – Ofsted Nov 2021

We are a strong team who are deeply committed to ensuring accessibility across the curriculum for all students. We strongly believe that all students are entitled to a full and vibrant education and as a result we work closely with parents, students and external agencies to ensure each student meets their full potential, academically, socially and emotionally.

Leaders are effective at identifying the needs of pupils with SEND. Pupils, parents and carers value the support that leaders and teachers provide for pupils with SEND. Leaders make sure that they offer clubs and activities that inspire and interest pupils.

We are part of a schools trust and our SEND policy is set at trust level.
