St Anne’s Church of England Academy works in partnership with the following outside agencies to enrich our careers programme:

Positive Steps

  • Positive Steps provide our independent and impartial careers advice. Mr Langford is at the Academy every Wednesday and Friday from 08.30-16.00. Appointments are available for all students (and can be accompanied by their parents/carers) in any year group.

Support provided includes careers interviews, careers research, sixth form/ college/ apprenticeship applications, labour market information, CV writing, employability skills, intervention work and signposting to specialist services.

Greater Manchester Combined Authority

The priorities for GMCA include improving careers education, information, advice and guidance to support informed decision-making and strengthening employer engagement. Working with the GMCA has resulted in support from our Enterprise Coordinator Ms Raper and our Enterprise Adviser Mr Nunn. We are working closely to enhance provision to support the eight Gatsby Benchmarks for good careers guidance

Greater Manchester Higher

Greater Manchester Higher is a collaboration between local and national universities taking a coordinated approach to working with schools, universities and colleges to help people access higher education. Here at St Anne’s the National Collaborative Outreach Programme has funded and provided some excellent opportunities to develop study skills, work-life skills and raise aspirations.
