Welcome to St Anne’s Church of England Academy part of The Cranmer Education Trust. We are really excited that your child will be joining us in September. St Anne’s has gone through a great deal of change over the last few years and we now offer our students a really well-balanced curriculum offer. It is really important to us that both children and parents feel ready to make the step from Primary to Secondary school and arrive with the confidence to make the most of the opportunities St Anne’s has to offer. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you and your child and I am confident that our transition programme will ensure your child has the very best start. I am looking forward to meeting all our Year 6 families really soon,
Welcome to St Anne’s Academy, we are really looking forward to your child becoming part of the St Anne’s family. Preparing for the move from primary to secondary school is very exciting but a little daunting. We work really hard to make sure that every child who joins us feels well prepared. Children joining St Anne’s Academy all have the opportunity to build relationships with us and learn about the next stages of their education. We want to help them secure the best possible qualifications, as well as supporting them to develop their passions, talents and interests and grow to become even more valuable members of the community.
At St Anne’s Academy, we have taken huge steps to ensure students come through our door as a Year 7 student ready and prepared for Secondary School life. We are currently working with a number of our Primary Schools in the area with students from Year 6. The work we do is vital in making the transition from Primary to Secondary education and building their confidence.
If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org or you can contact us at the Academy on 0161 643 2643.
We are delighted to welcome you to our Open Event On Thursday, 23rd September 2021, we will welcome prospective students and parents to a face to face event which will take place in our state-of-the-art building and will give prospective parents and their children an understanding of the vision and values of our school.

Our priority is to ensure Year 6 will have an undisturbed transition process. Please be assured the Year 7 Team are in communication with all our feeder primary schools and are gathering information to ensure all children have a smooth start. You can keep up to date via our Website.
Moving to secondary school can be a daunting time for both children and their parents. One of the key ways to prepare your child for transition is to develop their independence skills. This includes encouraging them to gather and pack their own equipment ready for school or other activities, managing time and money, looking after their belongings and development of strategies to use if something goes wrong.
On the website, there are activities for your child to complete which will allow them to familiarise themselves with St Anne’s Academy values and subjects they will be undertaking in September.
Our uniform providers are Broadbents on Long Street in Middleton.
Your child should wear a sensible black leather/leather type shoe that can be polished. No trainers, boots or heels.
To enable your child to come to school prepared you should provide them with a rucksack type bag, a full PE kit with their name on, a well-stocked pencil case including Blue/black pens, a pencil, rubber, ruler, red/green pens, a pencil sharpener and a calculator.
You should contact your child’s form tutor in the first instance. The most effective ways of doing this are either by putting a note in your child’s planner or sending an email direct to the relevant teacher who will then respond as soon as they can. For more significant questions or concerns please contact: Mrs Howard, Pastoral Year Lead or Mrs Tansley, SENCO.
It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as your child’s Pastoral Year Lead.
We are looking forward to meeting your child when they join the Academy, hearing about what they have been doing at home with you and getting to know them. We appreciate that you and your child may feel a little worried about joining us at the Academy, but we are confident that when your child joins us, they will feel well supported and a part of the St Anne’s family. The transition process gives us an opportunity for us all to get to know one another.
