Governance

St Anne’s Academy is part of the Cranmer Education Trust. Formalised cross school governance arrangements can help with efficiencies, with ultimate corporate accountability held by the Trust Board and corporate and strategic functions being carried out centrally, leaving local governing boards free to focus on pupil progress and attainment for their individual schools.

The Trust Board has established an Interim Board at St Anne’s Academy taking effect from 1st March 2021. The purpose of the Interim Board is to drive and enable fast school improvement through focussed and frequent meetings over an agreed period of time.

St Anne’s Interim Board:

Timothy Mitchell (Chair)

John Dalziel (Vice-Chair)

Julie Hollis (CEO, The Cranmer Education Trust)

Christopher Heyes (Headteacher)

Joy Clark (CEO, The Oak Trust)

Ian Rimmer (Principal, King James’ School, Huddersfield)

Alison Needham (former community governor – now appointed by Trust as an IB Member)

Alifa Mbawo – Parent Governor
