We promote National Citizen Service to Y11s. There is a voluntary aspect to this programme.

  • Inter generational Work: Annual Demense Christmas Meal. Students serve a Christmas meal and deliver Christmas activities.
  • Luncheon Club: Students serve a lunch to the local community as part of their Archbishop of York Award.
  • Local Care Homes: The Y10 Heroes visit local care homes in December and Easter to do activities such as Christmas carolling and Hand puppets and massages which supports their ASDAN qualification
  • Feeding the Homeless: Year 10 Heroes prepare packed lunches and deliver them in Manchester City Centre to the Homeless on the streets.
  • Summer School: – Y10 Heroes volunteer and help lead the summer school activities for our new Y7 students.
